Biography
José Luis Ramón was born in Buñol (Valencia), where he began his studies with the teacher D. Ramón Herrero García. Later he studied in the conservatories of Buñol, Valencia and Murcia, having as teachers respectively Vicente Linares, José Manuel Miñana, Joaquín Vidal and Vicente López, obtaining the highest grades, as well as the “End of Higher Degree” Honor Award.
His artistic interests led him to continue to improve, in parallel with his studies, with Professor Vicente Nogués, and later with Professor Joaquín Fabra. On the other hand, he has taken advanced courses and has attended master classes with professors such as Ricardo Casero, Miguel Moreno, Mel Culbertson, Roger Bobo and Steven Mead.
In the field of chamber music, he is a founding member among others of the Quartet of Euphoniums “Consolat de Mar”, a formation with which he has performed numerous concerts, highlighting the tour made by China. In addition to this, he has collaborated with other chamber groups such as “BRASS & Co.”, “Les Arts” Brass Ensemble or “Metàl.lia Brass Band”. In the orchestral field he has collaborated with the Royal Seville Symphony Orchestra.
In the field of teaching, he has taught various courses as a teacher, and was professor of the subject Trombone-Tuba Professional Conservatory “San Rafael” Buñol.
Since 1998, by appointment, he is an Euphonium player in the Municipal Band of Valencia.
