Biography
JOSÉ LUIS RAMÓN
He began his musical studies at the Sociedad Musical «La Artística» of Buñol, with the teacher D. Ramón Herrero García.
He later studied at the conservatories of Buñol, Valencia and Murcia, where his teachers included Vicente Linares, José Manuel Miñana, Joaquín Vidal and Vicente López, respectively, obtaining the highest marks as well as the «Fin de Grado Superior» Honor Award.
His artistic curiosity led him to continue improving his skills by attending advanced training courses and masterclasses with professors Vicente Nogués, Ricardo Casero, Miguel Moreno, Mel Culbertson, Roger Bobo and Steven Mead.
In the field of teaching, he was a professor of Trombón – Tuba at the Conservatorio Profesional «San Rafael» of Buñol, and has also given various advanced training courses.
He has been a member of the Cuarteto de Bombardinos «Consolat de Mar», and has collaborated with brass chamber music groups such as «BRASS&Co.» and «Les Arts» Brass Ensemble.
In the orchestral field, he has collaborated with the Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla.
Since 1998, he has been a euphonium professor at the Banda Sinfónica Municipal de Valencia.
